i'm not saying what happened exactly, but i ended up buying two sets of tickets for last night's game... or rather, make up for the first set blunder. idiot.
anyway, the game was: shit. the girl sitting next to me: shit. she was lucky it was too cold for me to do anything about her ignorant ass.
dodgers got creamed but whatever, it was good times being with jen, nic, and zanderiffic.
and at least we're still first in the west. talk shit to me when you surpass us.

and i hear the sharks didn't get past the ducks in the first round? crazy.

Today feels different... in a good way

It's taking me 100 tries, but I know I'm getting there each day nonetheless. For some reason, today i was more at peace (relative of course) than the past few days. Like a light bulb turned on in my head and my smile came back. interesting.
As slow as the light's coming, it's still coming.

I've just.. Yeah just realized what I need to do to make this work. I just hope I'll get more chance cards.

asia hypin' the girls

today, hung out with marissa and asia. asia's first soccer game of the season, in los altos. i don't care much about playing soccer, but there's something about sunny days, freshly groomed grass, and kids running around playing sports. i swear, you couldve given me a soccer ball, cleats, and some shin guards and i would've thought i was pele today. kudos for their effort, but that opposing team was just a little more skilled and conditioned. all good, good times. the season's just underway.
marissa was falling asleep on the drive back so she asked me to drive for the tail end. though i suck at driving stick i love any opportunity to do it.
plus, i wanted to live... along with the 4 young soccer players in the back seat.
lakers chewed up the jazz tonight and i think im ready for a nap. drawing to be had later. maybe ill have inspiration then.

actually, i do know why. live and learn... and live some more.
though the situation is different, my convictions and feelings remain the same. if this is the best we can do, then i'll make the best of it. i'm a positive thinker right... then life as well will be.

oh and prior to this on Easter, i finally went to church in about several months. it was nice. it was relevant. then, volunteered again with the little brothers something something ...of the elderly. i had the privilege of visiting ricardo leons. God bless him. ill be visiting him again soon. then, as im walking home from divisadero marissa calls me and invites me to carlos's family Easter gathering. that was very nice of her to invite me. i appreciate these times and acts of kindness very much.

dawn danby from Autodesk. she's their director of sustainability, or whatever her title is. supposedly she holds several degrees in this stuff. this is my second time hearing her speak. she's pretty good.

Cabo was B-less, but it was fun nonetheless. i might've learned though to stay away from overpriced all inclusive resorts. it's the epitome of gluttony. one week later, head to kirkwood with the kristens and B. She has a new board and can carve. whaat. her souvenir from me, getting sick. :/

simple kind of life -no doubt

we'll be ok today with our DWR design project progress. but, we consequently know we have to tighten up our development, especially since we'll be heading into the final product. spring break is around the corner so time will have to be managed efficiently.
saw these chairs on designspongeonline... love it. simple yet beautiful and functional.
good conversation last night with B. necessary and mature, essentially putting our relationship into proper perspective. One day at a time with hope for tomorrow. AKA.. just be happy. simple right :)

Cut & Paste- Ilya, yeah man

cut and paste, a touring digital design competition. yesterday it was in SF and Ilya was fortunate to be invited by coroflot.com to compete in this city's final in 3d modeling. proud of him... he was competing among guys who had years of experience over him in a range of 3d programs. ilya, he just learned last year. sick. he works hard. very inspiring. i'm sure he's getting into Pratt.
the atmosphere of this competition was intense. over 500 people in attendance, competing live on stage. 3d modelers, you have 20 mins to design something in your 3d program and we'll give you a theme. damn.
although ilya didnt win, props are due. reebok, give this boy an internship.
oh and thanks to mia's cousin lauren (and thanks mia) for hooking up entrance.

this week's job for my internship we went on site to a cafe under construction. we installed some seating, painted, caulked, and filled brad nail holes. fun. a good change from the traditional workshop atmosphere. the cabinet i worked on the week before i got to see in its final setting so that's comforting.
note to self: wear gloves when working with adhesives and other non-soluble media.
went to the guitar center last night too. so inspirational... i want to play again. i need to get a practice pad again. main reason going to guitar center was to check something out for scotty the otter. im excited.
i just saw danny carey has his signature stick... he rocks big ones. and he's fast. what.
dude from Drum Magazine was there too and was randomly interviewing drummers to be put in the may issue of the magazine.. asking the question, "what's the most difficult/fatiquing/hardest technique etc. on the drums for you?" i said paradiddles. damn it's been years.
