before i go on about the weekend in LA, I must mention an example of the quirks of childhood, and parenthood.

Quirina, who is 8 i believe, dug through the trash can in the bathroom and found something that maybe she is too young? to have picked up. As i'm watching the lakers lose, all i hear from my sister is "bring me the ____"... "and don't forget to wash your hands..." Curious of the ambient noise amidst my concentration of the game, I asked, "what did she find?"

"A condom."

nice. real nice. luckily, it wasnt USED! it was even in the wrapper still. oh, 8 yrs old. cheers to exploration. (and good luck to my sis when she has to explain what that "rubber" (what i said to Q when she asked, "what was that?") thing is for.)

oh right, so the weekend. i get in, john and i get Benito's .. mmm carne asada fries. holy... lakers lose, john comes back, we get froyo. yo. im so on that.

friday, i finish up my AMG golf shoe concept sketches. hope i win. go to third st with the homies, then head to Father's Office in culver city. first time there. nice atmos, expensive libations and food, but good times. ran into donna and co. the whole co.- married. yeah, that's great.

head to evan's after. watched summer school. a precursor to mine i suppose.

saturday, nic and arya's wedding. so beautiful, yet bittersweet i can imagine for nic and her family. God Bless her mom, Alicia. Mo and her cuteness sat next to me. thanks nic haha.
on that note, my friends who know about me have their take or comments regarding what i "should" be doing with a lot of these women such as.... and i've been jaded by such ongoing perceptions of what fun i should be getting myself into, both from friends and just this media infused world. but i've realized...
i'll do me. if "me" is not taking initiative in a particular way or purportedly being shy, then that's that. maybe my shyness is just indicative of being subconsciously smart and knowing that what's in front of me is not really what i want. you know, preventing future complications. hmm...
aka, im not worried. look, im going to portland for 2 weeks with nike and the u of o! that'll def do.

sunday, head to santa clarita to have brunch with my parents for their birthdays since i missed the luau on sat. oh wait, brunch just with jane and mom. dad was still sleeping. (uh, what)

(it's pretty cool how close we've gotten since we found out we're cousins (by marriage)) my best wishes go out to him , handling his career moves and of course his latest downturn (for now) with MC. i know God has the best, whatevr it may be, coming.

Rant for the day...

BKC... store is nice, their knits are nice. but really, i was expecting more in terms of merchandise. I understand the economy is bearing down on smaller companies right now so i hope there's more to see from them in the near future in regards to more knits n wovens.
if your brand is all about that street bespoke look, then you should have the merch to back it.

FINALLY, got to go into the Stephens'/AAU car museum in my school building. Actually, got to go twice in one week. These pics don't justify the grandiosity.
Went to MOMA for the millionth time in two years. Can't complain. Esp with good company. Museum #1, done. __ more to go.
